My role:

I joined Turtle Town as the lead designer at the very beginning of its 1-year project cycle. As lead designer, I took the prototype that my creative director created, refined its game loop, and expanded its mechanics to create more meaningful player choices and support its experience goals. I designed, diagramed, tested, and iterated on the game's core systems, including buildings, building upgrades, zones, movement, and enemies.

I spent the Summer of 2021 designing the core systems surrounding the core game loop of Explore -> Build -> Overcome.

I worked in Unity's 2D tilemap features to lay out the tutorial and post-tutorial levels, first in greybox, and then with final art assets.

By collaborating with the creative director and engineers, I planned and crafted the game's quest progression.
